15 minutes from Princess Juliana International Airport

On Baie Longue, on the west coast of the island  and from Marigot, the capital of French St Martin.

There are 83 rooms, suites and villas, all with an ocean view and decorated in an understated Mediterranean style. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a king size or twin beds, satellite TV, DVD player, iHome music system, complimentary WiFi and a balcony or terrace. Suites are more spacious with a king size bed, separate living area and an over-sized bathroom; some also have a private plunge pool. Each of the six Speciality Suites is individually decorated with its own style and personality; the largest can accommodate up to six people. The Three Bedroom Cottages are right by the beach with extra outdoor space whilst the luxurious villas offer three or four bedrooms, a large kitchen, a private infinity pool and a wraparound terrace.

The resort’s culinary centrepiece is the Trellis Restaurant, a bistro-style venue that opens for dinner only and offers an exceptional French fine dining menu. The more casual, al fresco Interlude serves breakfast and drinks throughout the day, while the Beach Bar is the place to grab a salad or a light lunch. La Cave, an intimate space within the hotel’s wine cellar, is perfect for private dining, and the stylish Baie Longue Bar mixes up an enticing array of cocktails.

The beach is obviously a huge draw here but there are also 2 swimming pools, including a lovely freeform infinity pool next to the Beach Bar. Other facilities include a fitness centre, Pilates studio, yoga classes, 3 tennis courts and a hillside spa with products from leading French brands Sisley and Pure Altitude. Non-motorised watersports including sailing, kayaking and snorkelling are complimentary whilst waterskiing, wake boarding and scuba diving are available at an additional charge. Camp La Samanna offers fun-filled activities such as treasure hunts and arts and crafts for children (additional charge applies) and nanny service is available for infants.
