35 minute seaplane flight
Located in the stunning Baa Atoll, the Maldives’ only UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve - 126km north west of Malé, accessible by a 35 minute seaplane flight.
With a choice of over-water or beach settings, the 50 villas at Milaidhoo combine traditional design with a luxurious modern twist. Dazzling open living areas and high ceilings allow natural light to flow through the ample space, Maldivian artwork adorns the walls and private plunge pools come as standard. We love the over-water villas that resemble classic chalets on stilts; laze on your private sundeck taking leisurely dips in the ocean – you’ll feel like you are floating in paradise.
Cuisine at Milaidhoo is spectacular, with three restaurants to choose from. Dine beneath the stars on the deck of a traditional Maldivian sailing boat at the exquisite Ba’theli Lounge & Restaurant; tuck into succulent cuts of meat and freshly-caught seafood, toes in the sand, at the Shoreline Grill, or relax on the lagoon-side deck of the Ocean Restaurant while waves gently lap around you. A well-stocked wine room, Chef’s Table and in-villa dining are further options to explore.
Spend your days snorkelling on a pristine house reef that’s teeming with marine life, enjoy an array of watersports, set sail to your own private sandbank or simply relax and unwind at the fabulous Serenity Spa with a range of soothing treatments on offer. As you would expect, given Milaidhoo’s location within the Maldives’ only UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, diving is a big draw here and the resort’s excellent dive centre offers a vast selection of options for all skill levels.
Our favourite spot on the island is Ba'theli Lounge & Restaurant; its the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner with fabulous panoramic ocean views.
Come back from your trip feeling revived and rejuvenated from your time at the Serenity Spa - our favourite treatment is the Milaidhoo Lavender & Lime Ceremony.
What makes Milaidhoo stand out are the ‘Milaidhoo Moments’ - experiences that take you that extra bit further and are always incredibly memorable, be it fishing with a local fisherman, picking local herbs with the chef and creating a new dish together, or joining the sommelier on a tasting class and seeing if you can concoct something tasty enough to make it onto the drinks menu.
