Our wonderful expert travel advisor, Helen has recently returned from a trip from the British Virgin Islands. 1. What would you say is a ‘Must Pack’ when travelling to the British Virgin Islands?
Sea legs and a good Camera to capture the gorgeous surroundings.
2. What was your culinary highlight from your trip?
We had a truly delicious 10 course meal at the Falcons Nest Villa at Peter Island, prepared by Chef Todd Howard who worked and trained in the kitchens of Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay.
3. Did you see anything that was weird and wonderful on your trip?
The geological wonder of the Baths National Park which are comprised of huge granite boulders which form sheltered sea pools on the beach, it was amazing to spend the day exploring them, it is a must do when travelling to the British Virgin Islands.
4. What were your holiday highlights?
Visiting Cynthia at her local restaurant, eating flying fish and Johnny cakes! Also sailing the Boston whalers at Bitter End Yacht Club and just taking in the breath taking beauty of Guana Island.
5. Do you have a Traveller’s Tip to share?
You definitely have to have the BVI iconic rum cocktail ‘ The Painkiller ‘ at the Soggy Dollar Bar, White Bay - an experience not to be missed.
6. Who is the BVI perfect for?
Families, honeymooners and couples - anyone who loves the water and stunning scenery.
