With the Tennis season already kicking off, we thought now would be a great time to remind you of the fantastic tennis facilities available at the 5-star, luxury Curtain Bluff hotel on the beautiful island of Antigua.

Very few resorts can claim the quality and beauty of the courts, the tennis program, pros, equipment and events that you find at Curtain Bluff.

Curtain Bluff's Tennis Center has four championship hard courts centered around a Pro Tennis shop an easy lob shot from the sea. All are in impeccable condition and lit for night play. Their three resident pros — Rennie, Nigel and Dillo — are trained in the U.S. to teach aptitudes right up to 5.5 (nearly a pro) and ready at 7:00 AM to take a guest’s challenge, pair guests together for a game, or work on that backhand. Private lessons cost $US 70 per hour. Their enthusiasm and gentle manner is one of the reasons that many of our guests call our tennis program the best in the region.

Tennis Events

Among the many tennis events hosted by the resort, the best known is Antigua Tennis Week, held each spring. Started in 1975 as an island-wide professional tournament, it has evolved over the last 35 years into an international pro-am tennis festival that attracts many of the biggest names in tennis. Their other big annual event is Tennis Challenge Week, held at the hotel each November. Guests join former Davis Cup player, Dick Stockton, for a fun-filled week of tennis, relaxation and parties.
